Meet our new Head Sommelier, Ivan Milchev, as he introduces us to his wine of choice for this month: Enira Reserva 2016, from the Domaine Bessa Valley in Bulgaria.
Ivan tells us he has chosen this wine as it is the first one he opened when he first joined us here at 20 Stories; which also happens to be the only one from his country of origin on our menu.
He tells us this is a savoury and complex wine with Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties that provide it with a vivid, deep garnet colour.
Its intense and lasting tasting notes are a complex combination of dark fruit notes and delicate oak. You will find powerful notes of blackberries, plums, dark forest fruits, dark chocolate and spices, and an impressive velvet softness and warmth that will go perfectly with grilled red meat, pork or game.
